   Osteoarthritis and Systemic Infection Caused By Candida Albicans in Acommon Mynah (Acridotheres Tristis)

چکیده    A 2-year-old male mynah (acridotheres tristis) was referred with history of abdominal herniasurgery, depression, cachexia, lethargy and swelling of foot joints. hematological and biochemicalfindings consisted of leukocytosis, heterophilia, monocytosis, elevation of liver enzymes activity,hyperproteinemia and hyperglobulinemia. fine needle aspiration (fna) was performed from footjoints, aseptically. mycological and bacteriological evaluations were shown candida albicansinfection. in spite of local and systemic treatments, signs were deteriorated and the animal waseuthanized and then necropsy was done. pathological findings revealed systemic candidiasis andfungal osteoarthritis.
