تمثیل و نماد دوگانه زن در مثنوی معنوی

زن در اشعار مولانا از سویی نماد عشق الهی، روح، جان، زمین و رویش است و از سوی دیگر، نماد جسم، نفس، دنیا و حرص است؛ سیمای دوگانه زن، نمودی از دوگانگی روح و جسم انسان است که بیانگر ابعاد نورانی و ظلمانی هستی است. زن نماد تجلی حق است و همزمان نماد نفس و شیطان و زمین. نمادها بازگوکنندة عقاید نمادپردازان است. ازآنجاکه عقاید اجتماعی و نیز نگرش مولانا به زن، دارای دو جنبة منفی و مثبت است و از سوی دیگر، زن نیز دارای ویژگی‌ها و ابعاد مختلف است، نماد وی در اشعار مولانا، مدلول‌های متعدد و گاه مخالف پیدامی کند که به آن ها اشاره خواهیم کرد.
