بررسی معنای واژه «هَلوع» در آیه «اِنَّ الْاِنْسَانَ خُلِقَ هَلُوعًا» در تفاسیر و ترجمه‌های فارسی و انگلیسی

واژه «هلوع » در آیه «اِنَّ اَلْاِنْسانَ خُلِقَ هَلُوعاً» از واژگانی است که مترجمان فارسی و انگلیسی و مفسران معنای واحدی از آن ارائه نداده‌اند معانی که در تفاسیر و ترجمه‌ها برای این واژه ذکر شده است عبارتند از: حریص، بی‌تاب، سخت بی‌تاب، بی‌قرار از اندوه، متکبر، ضعیف، اندوهگین، بخیل، عجول، جهول و  بی ثبات به هنگام جنبش غرایز. همچنین برخی از مفسران و مترجمان این واژه را با مضمون دو آیه بعد از آن ترجمه و تفسیر نموده اند. علاوه بر آنچه در منابع لغت در معنای این واژه آمده است، روایات فراوانی نیز در توضیح آن وارد شده که نیازمند بررسی و تحلیل است. پرسش این است که دیدگاه واژه‌پژوهان درباره این واژه چیست؟ سیر تاریخی معنای آن در تفاسیر و ترجمه‌ها چگونه بوده و کدام معنا مرجّح است؟ این پژوهش با بررسی منابع لغوی متقدم و متاخر، سیر تاریخی تفاسیر و تحلیل روایات با روش تحلیلی توصیفی و با هدف دستیابی به علل اختلاف ترجمه ها و ارائه معنای صحیح این واژه صورت پذیرفته است. نتایج نشان می‌دهد که معنای عدم خویشتن‌داری و بروز احساسات و رفتارهای شتابزده هنگام چیرگی اموری که موجب اندوه یا خوشحالی می شود، برای واژه «هلوعا» در آیه مورد بحث مناسب تر است و این معنا را می‌توان در تمام کاربردهای آن در خارج از متن قرآن نیز به‌کار بست.

the word &halūʿ& in the verse &indeed, man was created halūʿan& (quran 70:19) is one of those terms for which persian and english translators and commentators have not provided a unified meaning. the interpretations and translations of this word in exegetical works include: greedy, impatient, extremely restless, unsettled by grief, arrogant, weak, sorrowful, stingy, hasty, ignorant, and unstable when driven by instincts. some commentators and translators have also interpreted this word in light of the two subsequent verses. beyond lexical sources, numerous narrations (hadiths) explain this term, requiring further examination. key questions arise: what do linguists say about this word? how has its meaning evolved historically in exegeses and translations? and which interpretation is most plausible? this study employs a descriptive-analytical method, examining early and modern lexical sources, the historical development of exegeses, and hadith analysis to determine the reasons behind differing translations and to propose the most accurate meaning. the findings suggest that &halūʿ& in this context best denotes a lack of self-restraint and impulsive emotional or behavioral reactions when overwhelmed by grief or joy—a meaning applicable both within and beyond the quranic text
