چکیده
|
In the context of certain developments in some areas of pakistan and afghanistan,the levy of jizyah is making news,mainly for the wrong reasons(1). in the popular english press in india and elsewhere,there is a strong protest against this move. there was a huge condemnation without understanding the essence of jizyah. in this brief note,an attempt is made to put jizyah in its right perspective.
