Diagnosing the crisis in methodology of Islamic economics

Muslim writers despite criticizing conventional economics paradigms on the ground that they contradict islamic world views have not been able find alternatives to the conventional paradigms and methodology. in their writing they criticize the western values but they adapt the same paradigms when they build theories of economic behavior of muslim agents. this brought logical inconsistency in their methodology. this paper calls for scientific revolution in economics,whereby materialistic paradigms are replaced by islamic paradigms based on ethics to establish islamic economics. it is not something new since western writers are also calling for it after the latest financial crisis.
