چکیده    A laboratory scale bioremediation unit was designed, built and tested for the bioremoval of several direct textile dyes, dyes mixture (simulated effluent) and three textile dye effluents. eight experiments were carried out to assess the efficiency of bioremediation unit using aspergillus niger fungal strain. the fungal strain was isolated from the major dumping site of the textile industry wastes located in north delta. three commonly used direct dyes and textile dyes mixture (simulated effluent: direct brown, direct violet, direct green) were included in the study. the biomass accumulation in the media supplemented with brown, violet and green direct dyes were tested and the chemical oxygen demand (cod) measurements were determined to assess the removal of dye from the simulated effluents. the induction in the activities of laccase, tryosinase and lip was observed during decolorization. the objective of this work is to remediate and reuse the industrial wastewaters generated in egypt from the textile industry wastes.
