Heterocyclic systems containing bridgehead nitrogen atom: Synthesis and antimicrobial activity of thiadiazolo[2′,3′:2,3]imidazo[4,5-B]quinoxaline

Drugs for the drug-resistant bacterial strains constitute one of the most essential challenges for medicine now-a-days. seven derivatives of thiadiazolo[2′,3′:2,3]imidazo [4,5-b]quinoxalines were synthesized for potential antimicrobial agents. the structures of the compounds were established by ir,1h nmr,mass spectral and elemental analysis. the anti-microbial evaluation of the newly synthesized products against a broad spectrum of bacteria was performed using the disc diffusion technique and the agar streak dilution method. all the synthesized compounds had shown good inhibitory effect. © 2013
