چکیده    Ion exchange distribution equilibrium of divalent, trivalent and tetravalent ions has been investigated on asynthetic ion–exchange of m-cresol formaldehyde resin in different para formaldehyde percent 40% and60% wt/wt. the effect of metal ion concentrations as well as the effect of acetone on the partitioncoefficient has been studied. the influence of acidity concentrations has been also studied by varying ofhno3 solution. the effect of metal ions, organic solvent as well as h+ ion concentrations and the kdvaluesof the elements, has show the important of such media as a complexing agents. the effect of crosslinking,acidity and the addition of organic non-polar solvent to the external solution on separations anddetection performance has been investigated, the cation exchange column turned out to be more suitable.the distribution coefficients kd determined through batch technique revealed the possibilities of a numberof metal ions were obtained on a short column 50 cm high 1.2 cm in diameter. the binary separationswere achieved on 10 cm long resin column.
