چکیده
|
Metastable nanoparticles having the empirical formulae, au24(h2nc12h25) and au24(s(c12h25) 2) with a gold assay of ≥ 93% were synthesised with exceptional purity and yields and fully characterized by nmr, fab mass spectroscopy, powder xrd, and elemental analysis. their growth monitored by xrd, can be arrested by fixing the particle size indefinitely, in the range, 2.0 to 12 nm either by controlled depletion of the ligand capping and or on treatment with c12h25sh which replaces h2nc12h25 or s(c12h25)2 with c12h25s- ligands.
