|
Acetohydroxamic acid forms highly stable complexes with vanadium(+5). to determine thermodynamicparameters δg, δh and δs of these complexes, the preliminary data was obtained through ph titration at various temperatures. the data was then processed and analyzed by computer program best for the refinement of the calculated log b values. graphs of ln b versus 1/t, gave straight line, with a slope -δh/r and intercept δs/r. enthalpy change for v(v) with this simple hydroxamate analog was found -224, -175 and -165 kj/mole while δg was -458, -368 and -351 kj/mole for ml, ml2 and ml3 respectively. entropy change was 783, 652 and 626 j/mole/deg for the respective species.
