«عاطفه» در فلسفۀ لایب‌نیتس

یکی از مهم‌ترین جنبه‌های حیات روانی ما از نظر کیفیت و معنای وجودمان عواطف[1] است؛ زیرا عواطف می‌توانند ادراکات، افکار و کنش‌های ما را در مسیری معین هدایت کنند. برای توضیح این مقوله، لازم است تمایز انفعالات[2]، تمایلات عقلانی، غرایز و نقش هر یک در کنش‌های انسانی بررسی شوند. لایب‌نیتس[3] در فلسفۀ ذهن خود، این تمایلات[4] مختلف ذهن را به‌خوبی برجسته‌ و با تمرکز بر نیروهای پویا، درک ذهن انسان را به شیوه‌ای ویژه دگرگون می‌کند. او تلاش می‌کند چگونگی تاثیر این نوع عواطف بر بدن و ذهن را مبتنی بر رویکرد موازی‏نگری روان‌تنی خود و تجربۀ حالاتی مانند لذت و درد را مبتنی بر زمینۀ متافیزیکی خود توضیح دهد. اگرچه لایب‌نیتس هیچ‏گاه مانند دکارت رساله‏ای جداگانه‌ در رابطه با انفعالات ننوشت، عمیقاً به بُعد آرزومند و مشتاق ذهن انسان اهمیت می‌داد و ایده‌های او در این باب را می‌توان در اثر جستارهای جدید در فهم بشری[5] دریافت. در این مقاله تلاش می‌شود با تمرکز بر این اثر، رویکرد او را در رابطه با عواطف و به ‌طور ویژه انفعالات انسانی توضیح داد.

emotion in leibniz’s philosophy

one of the most important aspects of our mental life, in terms of the quality and meaning of our existence, is emotions; because emotions can guide our perceptions, thoughts, and actions in a certain direction. to explain this category, the differentiation of passions, rational tendencies, instincts, and the role of each in human actions should be investigated. leibniz in his philosophy of mind highlights these different inclinations of the mind well and by focusing on dynamic forces, transforms the understanding of the human mind specially. he tries to explain how these types of emotions affect the body and mind based on the approach of psychophysical parallelism and the experience of states such as pleasure and pain based on his metaphysical background. although leibniz never wrote a separate treatise on passions like descartes, he deeply cared about the appetent dimension of the human mind, and his ideas in this regard can be found in the work new essays on human understanding. in this article, an attempt is made to explain his approach to emotions and, more specifically, human passions by focusing on new essays on human understanding.
