تبیین و نقد گرامر جاودانگی نفس از دیدگاه فیلیپس

فیلیپس فیلسوف دین ناواقع‌گراست که منکر واقعیت امور دینی ازجمله «خدا» و «نفس» و «رستاخیز» و... است؛ اما به‌عنوان یک مسیحی سعی دارد برخلاف نکتۀ ذکرشده، با ارائۀ معنایی جدید از نفس، معنای جاودانگی و خلود آن را به حیات اخلاقی داشتن تحویل ببرد. برهمین‌اساس، جاودانگی نفس را معادل گذشتن از امیال نفسانی برای وصول به حیات اخلاقی تعریف می‌کند و خلود آن را به مشارکت انسان در زندگی با خدا معنا می‌کند و رویکردی عمل‌گرایانه در مقام تبیین گرامر جاودانگی در پیش می‌گیرد. این پژوهش نشان داده است در دیدگاه وی به‌لحاظ معناشناختی، مرز مشخصی میان الحاد و ایمان باقی نمانده است. ازسوی دیگر، مبنای این رویکرد آن است که اخلاق صرفاً مبتنی‌بر دین است؛ درحالی‌که عمدۀ نظریات امروزین در حوزۀ فرااَخلاق این نگاه به رابطۀ دین و اخلاق را نفی می‌کنند. همچنین، مشخص می‌شود این رویکرد به‌معنای جاودانگی با نحوۀ زندگی دینی مسیحیان در تعارض است.

Critique of the Grammar of the Immortality of the Soul from Phillips Point of View

As a philosopher of religion who believes in antirealism, Phillips denies the reality of religious matters such as &God&, &soul&, &resurrection& and so on. But as a religious Christian, He tries to reduce the meaning of immortality of the soul into having a moral life. Accordingly, he defines the immortality of the soul as equivalent to ignoring desires and achieving a moral life. Its immortality means man’s participation in living with God. So he takes a pragmatic approach in explaining the grammar of immortality. This article has shown that in his view, semantically, there is no clear boundary between atheism and faith. On the other hand, the basis of his pragmatic approach is that ethics is based solely on religion, while most current theories in the field of metaethics reject this view of the relationship between religion and ethics. It also turns out that his view about immortality conflicts with the religious life of Christians.
