صفی الدین ارموی در تاریخ وصاف

در ادوار تاریخی ایران اسلامی، به‌ویژه از سدهٔ چهارم بدین‌سو، متون تاریخی بسیاری به نگارش درآمده‌اند که در نگارش تاریخ هنر ایران و جهان اسلام ضرورت دارد هریک از آنها به‌دقت بازنگریسته و تحلیل و تبیین شود. در این میان، باوجود تصحیح و چاپ و نشر تعدادی از این دست متون، هنوز از کتاب‌های بسیاری می‌توان یاد کرد که به‌شیوه‌های علمی تصحیح و منتشر نشده‌اند یا، آن‌گونه که باید، محل رجوع پژوهشگران نبوده‌اند. ازجملهٔ این متون تاریخی تاریخ وصاف است که نویسندهٔ آن، ضمن بازگفت وقایع تاریخی، به‌فراخور مقال، به احوال و آثار هنرمندان و پاره‌ای رویدادهای هنری نیز پرداخته است. ازجمله هنرمندانی که در این کتاب از او یاد شده صفی‌الدین ارموی است. پژوهش حاضر تحلیل و بررسی احوال و آثار این هنرمند ممتاز از منظر روایات تاریخ وصاف است. در روایات چهارگانهٔ این کتاب، از ارموی به‌عنوان هنرمندی فاضل و صاحب تالیف و تصنیف در علم موسیقی یاد شده و اشاره‌ای به تبحّر او در خوشنویسی نشده است.

in the historical periods of islamic iran, particularly from the 4th century ah/ ad 10th century onward, many historical texts have been written the necessity of a careful reassessment and analysis of which is felt for extracting and recording details of art history of iran. despite making amendments to and publication of a number of such historical texts, there are still many ones not been amended nor published yet, nor even been referred to by researchers properly. tārīkh wassāf is a good, classic example of such texts in which its writer deals with biographies and works of artists as well as artistic matters, besides recounting historical events. safī al-dīn irmuwī is among the artists mentioned in this book. the present essay aims to study the life and works of this distinguished artist from the perspective of the accounts of tārīkh wassāf. irmuvī is mentioned here as an accomplished artist in music in four narrations, however not been referred to as a talented calligrapher.
