واکاوی مولفه‌های سوررئالیسم در رمان ابواب المدینة اثر الیاس خوری

سوررئالیسم در اوایل قرن بیستم میلادی و با هدف تغییر نگرش انسان به جهان صنعتی و به نوعی مبارزه با آن شکل گرفت. هدف سوررئالیست‌ها تغییر دنیا بر محور عقاید خود و به نوعی بازگشت به طبیعت اصلی انسان بود؛ هرچند این مکتب ادبی بیشتر با شعر سروکار داشت، ولی به‌تدریج وارد عالم ادبی رمانهای مدرن نیز شد و نظراتی را در زمینه‌ی نوع ادبی رمان و نزدیکی زبان آن به زبان شعری مطرح نمود. الیاس خوری، نویسنده‌ی معاصر لبنانی، در رمان ابواب المدینة، با استفاده از مولفه‌های سوررئالیستی، سعی دارد تا تلاش بی‌نتیجه‌ی قهرمان داستان برای رسیدن به شهری مجهول را روایت کند و در نهایت نیز با نابودی شهر، تلاش انسان معاصر در رسیدن به خواسته‌هایش را زیر سوال می‌برد. پژوهش حاضر بر آن است تا به شیوه‌ی توصیفی تحلیلی به بررسی شاخصه‌های سوررئالیستی این رمان پرداخته و بیان نماید که مولفه‌های سوررئالیسم در این رمان کدامند و چه کاربردی در طرح مسائل رمان داشته‌اند؟ بنا نهاده شدن این رمان بر بستری سورئالیستی در کنار عدم نگارش پژوهشی مستقل در مورد این اثر ادبی ازیک‌طرف و لزوم آشنایی با آثار پست‌مدرن در ادب عربی از طرف دیگر، نشان‌دهنده‌ی ضرورت و اهمیت پژوهش حاضر است. نتایج به‌دست‌آمده نشان‌ می‌دهد که رمان ابواب المدینة بر بستری سوررئالیستی بنیان نهاده شده و مولفه‌هایی مانند تصاویر سوررئال، عشق، خیال و رویا، نگارش خودکار و پیچیدگی و ابهام از مهم‌ترین شاخصه‌هایی است که در رساندن معانی سوررئالیستی به خواننده در این رمان به کار گرفته شده‌اند.

analyzing the components of surrealism in the novel abvab al-madinah by elias khoury

surrealism was formed in the early 20th century with the aim of changing people’s attitudes towards the industrial world and fighting against it. the goal of the surrealists was to change the world based on their own ideas and somehow return to the original human nature. although this school of literature mostly dealt with poetry, it gradually entered the literary world of modern novels as well and raised opinions on the literary type of the novel and the closeness of its language to poetic language. elias khoury, a contemporary lebanese writer, uses surrealist elements in his novel &abvab al-madinah& to narrate the protagonist’s unsuccessful attempt to reach an unknown city, and finally, with the destruction of the city, he challenges contemporary man’s efforts to achieve his desires. the present study aims to investigate the surrealistic characteristics of this novel in a descriptive and analytical way. it seeks to state what components of surrealism are present in this novel and how they are used in designing its themes. the fact that there is a lack of independent research on this literary work, coupled with its surrealist background, shows the necessity and importance of this research. the obtained results show that &abvab al-madinah& is based on a surrealist foundation. components such as surreal images, love, imagination and dreams, automatic writing, complexity, and ambiguity are among the most important features used in conveying surrealist meanings to readers in this novel.
