چالش ها و استراتژی های آشکارسازی هویت جنسیتی مردان ترنس در شهر مشهد

آشکارسازی هویت جنسیتی مردان ترنس در بافت‌های فرهنگی‌‌مذهبی همچون مشهد، صرفاً امری شخصی یا روان‌شناختی نیست، بلکه کنشی اجتماعی و پرمخاطره است که در تقابل با نظم مسلط جنسیتی، قدرت نهادی و گفتمان‌های مردسالارانه شکل می‌گیرد. این پژوهش با هدف شناسایی چالش‌ها و راهبردهای مردان ترنس در فرآیند آشکارسازی و تثبیت هویت جنسی، با تمرکز بر تجربه زیسته آنان در مشهد، به روش کیفی و با تحلیل مضمون انجام شده است. داده‌ها از طریق مصاحبه‌های نیمه‌ساختاریافته با 14 مرد ترنس (22 تا 30 ساله) گردآوری و با شیوه نمونه‌گیری هدفمند و گلوله‌برفی نمونه ها انتخاب شدند. تحلیل داده‌ها در سه سطح فردی، میانه و کلان و با بهره‌گیری از نظریه‌های گافمن، باتلر، گیدنز، آرچر و وست و زیمرمن صورت گرفت. یافته‌ها نشان می‌دهد که مشارکت‌کنندگان با چالش‌هایی همچون اضطراب، بی‌ثباتی هویتی، طرد خانوادگی، خشونت خانگی، بوروکراسی تبعیض‌آمیز و انگ اجتماعی مواجهند. در پاسخ به چالش ها، افراد ترنس از راهبردهایی چون پنهان‌سازی گزینشی، مدیریت بدن، سرمایه اجتماعی، ترک محیط‌های ناسازگار و بازتعریف مردانگی بهره می‌گیرند. هویت مردانه در مردان ترنس، فرآیندی در حال شکل‌گیری و بازتعریف مداوم است که در دل نظارت اجتماعی و بر پایه تعامل با محیط اجتماعی تکوین می‌یابد. این تحلیل نشان می‌دهد جنسیت، بدن و عاملیت در تجربه ترنس‌بودگی، مفاهیمی سیال و زمینه‌مندند. از مهم‌ترین محدودیت‌های پژوهش، دشواری در دسترسی به مشارکت‌کننده به‌دلیل حساسیت موضوع و ملاحظات امنیتی در بافت فرهنگی‌‌اجتماعی مشهد بود.

disclosure of gender identity by trans men in cultural-religious contexts such as mashhad is not merely a personal or psychological matter, but rather a social and risky action that is shaped in opposition to the dominant gender order, institutional power, and patriarchal discourses. this study aims to identify the challenges and strategies of trans men in the process of disclosing and establishing their gender identity, focusing on their lived experience in mashhad, using a qualitative method and content analysis. data were collected through semi-structured interviews with 14 trans men (22 to 30 years old) and samples were selected using purposive and snowball sampling. data analysis was conducted at three individual, meso, and macro levels, using the theories of goffman, butler, giddens, archer, and west and zimmerman. findings indicate that participants face challenges such as anxiety, identity instability, family rejection, domestic violence, discriminatory bureaucracy, and social stigma. in response to challenges, trans individuals utilize strategies such as selective concealment, body management, social capital, leaving nonconforming environments, and redefinition of masculinity. masculine identity in trans men is a process of ongoing formation and redefinition that develops within the context of social surveillance and based on interaction with the social environment. this analysis shows that gender, body, and agency in the experience of being trans are fluid and contextual concepts. one of the most important limitations of the research was the difficulty in accessing participants due to the sensitivity of the topic and security considerations in the socio-cultural context of mashhad.
