The plasma behaviour in filippov type plasma focus devices has been studied by using the simulations based onthe ml-model. the effects of the current efficiency factor fi, mass shedding factor fm, gas pressure p and dischargevoltage vdi on the quarter discharge period t1/4 , maximum discharge current imax and pinch time tp, havebeen investigated and discussed. this investigation showed thatfi,fm, p, and vdis, can have large effects on tp, t1/4 ,and imax values. among others, it was shown that while higher fm values lead to higher tp, tl/4, and imax values,higher fi values lead to lower tp, t1/4, and imax values, and that the increment of vdis leads to the decrement of tp ,and t'/4, but an almost linear increment of the i max values.
