Abstract
Background and objectives: Among the various factors related to highrisk behaviors of young age groups, anger management skills and their resilience as a set of psychological skills and talents is one of the most important predictors of highrisk behaviors and consequently the order and security of human society, because there are intertwined and complex relationships between the studied age groups. Therefore, the purpose of this study is to develop a structural model of the role of anger management skills on youth highrisk behaviors mediated by resilience.Methodology: In terms of its objectives this study is of an applied research type and in terms of its nature it is considered as a descriptive and correlational study. The statistical population consists of students of Tabriz Azad University in the academic year 20202021, according to the obtained statistics are about 27,000 individuals. The statistical samples were selected using KrejcieMorgan Table. 383 individuals participated in the present study through voluntarily online sessions due to corona virus traffic restrictions. Then, for collecting the required data, Hajiati et al.’s (2008) anger management skills questionnaire, Wagnild resilience (2009) and Iranian risktaking questionnaire (2008) were employed, and then, equation modeling method was used to analyze the statistical data.Findings: The results showed that the proposed model has an acceptable fit; Because it was specified that the direct effect of anger management skills on highrisk behaviors is P(0.001), β(0.363) and indirect effect is P(0.022), β(0.427) (as well as the total effect between variables is P(0.001), β (0.424)) that all three are statistically significant and this means that anger management skills are directly, indirectly, and significantly related to highrisk behavior. Results: Anger management skills increase resilience and consequently reduce the tendency to risky behavior and increase social order and sense of security among young people.
