estimating ‎c‎apacity utilization in twostage production systems: a data envelopment analysis approach

The current study investigates performance in two-stage production systems through the measurement of capacity utilization (cu). in short-run, the degree of capacity utilization depends on the ability of decision making units to utilize xed production factors. to develop this indicator in two-stage production processes, these factors are classied into xed and variable inputs. then the modied sbm network dea model is proposed to estimate the capacity utilization and further study the eect of intermediate products on cu. ultimately the numerical example is presented to point out the applicability and eectiveness of current model.
