بازخوانی مروری سنّت تحلیلِ هستی شناختی نماد

پژوهش‌ هایی که به موضوع نماد می‌پردازند در کل ذیل دو سنّت کلان قرار می‌گیرند. در سنّت نخست، معنا امری پیشینی تلقی می‌شود که در نهایت در بستر زبان جاری می‌شود. چنین نگرشی با هستی‌ شناسی افلاطونی آغاز شده است. به همین سبب، در این جستار تمامی این دیدگاه‌ها ذیل سنّت هستی‌شناختیِ تحلیل نماد گنجانده می‌شوند. در سنّت دوم، معنا خود اساساً ازطریق نماد ممکن می‌شود. این منظر شامل دو رویکرد کلی رئالیستی و ایده‌الیستی است. به هر ترتیب، زبانی که شاخصۀ اصلی آن بهره‌مندی از حضورِ مسلط نماد است، یا به بیانی فنّی‌تر، زبان شعر، زبان تمثیلی یا زبان عرفانی، همواره موضوع بحث و بررسی بوده است. براین‌اساس، جُستار پیش‌رو بر آن است که با اتخاذ رویکردی در-زمانی یا تاریخی، به بررسی اجمالی این موضوع بپردازد که سنّت تحلیلِ هستی‌شناختی نماد در چه دوره‌های تاریخی و در کدام نگرش‌ها غالب بوده است. به‌این‌ترتیب، این پژوهش ضمن بازخوانی مروری سنّت تحلیلِ هستی‌شناختی نماد، روشن می‌سازد که این سنت چه موضعی در بابِ مفهوم، جایگاه و کارکردِ نماد اتخاذ می‌کند.

a review of the ontological analysis of symbol

research on the topic of symbols generally falls under two major traditions. the first tradition considers meaning to be a priori, flowing from the context of language rooted in platonic ontology. this perspective is referred to as the ontological tradition of symbol analysis. the second tradition views meaning as fundamentally enabled through the symbol itself. this perspective encompasses both realistic and idealistic approaches. language dominated by symbols, such as poetic, allegorical, or mystical language, has long been a subject of discussion and investigation. the present study adopted a diachronic, historical approach to provide a concise overview of the ontological tradition of symbol analysis. it examined the dominant features of this tradition and the historical periods, in which it had been prevalent. in doing so, the research clarified the position taken by the ontological tradition regarding the concept, placement, and function of symbol.
