   colorimetric immunoassay for the detection of staphylococcus aureus by using magnetic carbon dots and sliver nanoclusters as o-phenylenediamine-oxidase mimetics

چکیده    Staphylococcus aureus (s. aureus) is an important foodborne pathogen that causes food poisoning and severe infections. herein, we design a novel and sensitive colorimetric immunoassay for the detection of s. aureus based on the formation of a magnetic bead-based sandwich complex and signal amplification via an enzyme mimic. magnetic nanoparticles decorated with carbon dots offer rapid enrichment and separation of target bacteria in complex matrices. sliver nanoclusters are used as an artificial enzyme that can oxidize o-phenylenediamine to form a yellow product with a maximum absorption peak at 421 nm. this method can visually detect s. aureus ranging from 10 to 106 cfu ml−1. its limit of detection reaches down to 4.9 cfu ml−1. by analyzing food samples, the recovery is from 85.6 to 103.7%.
