بررسی رابطه بین بیکاری و خالص مهاجرت: رهیافت اقتصادسنجی فضایی

مهاجرت پدیده‌ای پیچیده و چندوجهی است که همواره مورد توجه بسیاری از محققان علوم مختلف قرار گرفته است. در این مطالعه به بررسی موضوع مهاجرت از منظر اقتصادی می‌پردازیم. هدف اصلی مطالعه حاضر بررسی رابطه بین بیکاری و نر خ خالص مهاجرت است. در این راستا رابطه بین این دو متغیر با استفاده از داده‌های تمامی شهرستان‌های کشور طی دوره زمانی 951385، با رویکرد علیت فضایی مورد بررسی قرار می‌گیرد و سپس به برآورد مدل مهاجرت با روش اقتصادسنجی فضایی پرداخته می‌شود. نتایج حاصل از آزمون علیت فضایی موید وجود رابطه علّی بین خالص مهاجرت و بیکاری است و جهت رابطه از بیکاری به خالص مهاجرت می‌باشد. همچنین نتایج حاصل از برآورد مدل مهاجرت با استفاده از روش وقفه فضایی متغیرهای توضیحی(slx) بیانگر آن است که از بین متغیرهای تحقیق، متغیرهای نرخ بیکاری، سهم اشتغال صنعتی، تولید ناخالص داخلی سرانه، سهم جمعیت جوان از کل جمعیت و تحصیلات مهمترین عوامل موثر بر خالص مهاجرت بوده و دارای اثرات مستقیم و سرریز فضایی معناداری بر خالص مهاجرت هستند. همچنین متغیر بیکاری به عنوان اصلی‌ترین متغیر مطالعه حاضر دارای اثر مستقیم منفی و اثر سرریز فضایی مثبت بر خالص مهاجرت است. به عبارت دیگر افزایش بیکاری در یک شهرستان موجب کاهش خالص مهاجرت در آن شهرستان و افزایش خالص مهاجرت در شهرستان‌های مجاور می‌شود.

Investigating the relationship between unemployment and net Immigration: A spatial econometric approach

Migration is a complex and multidimensional phenomenon that always has been of interest to many researchers in various sciences. In this study, the migration issue from an economic standpoint has been studied. The main purpose of the present study is to investigate the relationship between unemployment and net migration. To this aim, using the data of all cities in Iran during the period of 20072017, the relationship between the two aforementioned variables has been examined via a spatial causality approach, and afterwards the migration model has been estimated through the spatial econometric method. The obtained results confirm the existence of causality between net migration and unemployment so that the direction of this causality is from unemployment to net migration. Moreover, the derived results from the estimation of migration model using spatially lagged explanatory variables model (SLX), specify that unemployment rate, industrial employment share, GDP per capita, the young population share of total population, and education play the most crucial role in the net migration model, also these variables have significant direct and spillover effects on net migration. It is noteworthy that unemployment, as the key variable of this study, has a negative direct effect and a positive spatial spillover effect on net migration. In other words, however rising unemployment in a city can decrease the net migration in that city, the net migration in the nearby cities will be increased.
