   effects of physical exercise on the mrna expression of rankl, opg, osx, and runx2-1 in the femurs of mice exposed to the fluoride ion

چکیده    To investigate the effect of physical exercise (pe) on the femurs of mice exposed to the fluoride ion (f), thirty mouse pups were randomly divided into three groups: (i) control, (ii) f (100 mg naf/l in drinking water on postnatal days 21 to 70), and (iii) f+pe (100 mg naf/l in drinking water on postnatal days 21 to 70+physical activity on postnatal days 21 to 70). the results showed that exposure to 100 mg naf/l significantly enhanced the serum alkaline phosphatase (alp) activity and the ratio of the receptor activator of nuclear factor kappa b ligand and osteoprotegerin (rankl:opg), while the mrna expression of osterix (osx) and runt-related transcription factor 2-i (runx2-1) was reduced. additionally, the daily pe helped prevent the changes in alp activity, rankl/opg, runx2-1, and osx induced by f. the findings in this study suggest that physical exercise can weaken the impact of f on bone by preventing the f-induced changes in the expression of rankl, opg, osx, and runx2-1.
