ضرورت تربیت زیباشناختی از نظر جان دیویی (با تکیه ‌بر کتاب «هنر به‌ منزلۀ تجربه»)

جان دیویی یکی از صاحب ‌نظران مهم حوزۀ تعلیم و تربیت دورۀ معاصر است که برخی از آموزه‌های او امروزه به بخشی از بدنۀ نظام‌های آموزشی در سطح جهان بدل شده است. ازآنجا که تعلیم و تربیت بخشی جدایی‌ناپذیر از ساختار هر جامعه‌ای است، هرگونه ضعف در آن موجب تضعیف فرهنگ آن جامعه خواهد شد. نظام‌های آموزشی گذشته عمدتاً بر ابعاد فکری، اخلاقی و دینی در امر آموزش تاکید داشتند، اما امروزه توجه به ابعاد دیگری ازجمله بُعد زیباشناختی، انتقادی و خلاق به‌عنوان یک ضرورت نگریسته می‌شود. دلیلش این است که نگرش زیباشناختی و هنری در کنار سایر رویکردها می‌تواند جهان و پدیدارهای آن را به نحو متفاوت برای ما بازنمایاند و امکان تجربۀ دیگرگون آن‌ها را برای ما فراهم سازد. لذا در کنار پرورش زمینه‌های فکری و اخلاقی بر «تربیت زیباشناختی» هم تاکید می‌شود. مسئلۀ اصلی در مورد این نوع تربیت این است که برخی تنها آن را بر اساس منظر نبوغ نگریسته‌اند و برخی هم بر اساس منظر ذوق؛ درحالی‌که تربیت زیباشناختی توامان شامل هر دو منظر می‌شود. درنتیجه، هر نظام آموزشی موفق بایستی هم به پرورش قوۀ تخیل و بُعد خلاق ذهن کودک توجه کند و هم به پرورش قوۀ ذوق جهت ادراک و ارزیابی امور و آثار زیبا اهتمام ورزد. در کتاب «هنر به‌منزلۀ تجربه» اثر دیویی توجه به هر دو منظر دیده می‌شود، بر همین مبنا ما ضمن مرور مباحث مربوط به زیباشناسی و مولفه‌های تربیت زیباشناختی، به‌طور خاص به بازخوانی بخشی از اثر مذکور با محوریت تربیت زیباشناختی (بر اساس منظر نبوغ و منظر ذوق) خواهیم پرداخت.
