|
Introduction: the main purpose of this study was to test the factor structure of the islamic scale of arrogance and humility.method: the current research was conducted through a correlational method. a sample of 922 university and seminary students was selected through convenience sampling method. the participants completed the islamic scale of arrogance and humility (isah). to investigate the reliability and construct validity of the scale cronbach’s alpha and factor analysis was used. data were analyzed through the pearson correlation and split-half methods.results: the results showed that the revised form of arrogance and humility scale included six factors: religious emotion and knowledge, self-sufficiency- approval seeking, truthcentricity – egocentricity, altruism - behavioral self-exhibition, interpersonal optimism - interpersonal pessimism, and self-worth - self-worthless. the high coefficient alpha (0.83) showed good reliability of this scale.conclusion: based on these results, the scale’s reliability and validity is high and its integrated factors can be used to study arrogance and humility of the individuals in future researches.
