نقد و بررسی مفهوم شهید و شهادت در اسلام از دیدگاه اتان کلبرگ

جایگاه ویژه شهادت و شهادت طلبی در اسلام توجه مستشرقان را به خود جلب نموده و در این میان، اتان کلبرگ نیز یکی از اسلام شناسانی است که به موضوع شهادت در پژوهش های خود پرداخته است؛ او اعتقاد دارد مفاهیم شهید و شهداء قبل از اسلام وجود داشته و شهادتی که در قرآن ذکر شده است همان مبارزه در راه خدا می باشد که از دین مسیح اقتباس گردیده است. کلبرگ با استناد به جنگ های مسلمانان در حیات پیامبر اکرم (ص) و پس از رحلت ایشان به این نتیجه می رسد که شهادت در اسلام با مفهوم قرآنی آن متفاوت بوده و نوعی خودکشی محسوب می شود، همچنین او معتقد است که حکم منع خودکشی در قرآن به صراحت بیان نشده است؛ لذا با استناد از کتب تاریخی، به این نتیجه می‌رسد که اسلام در مواقعی خاص خودکشی را جایز می داند. کلبرگ با ارائه مستنداتی از منابع و آثار مکتوب مسلمانان متقدم بر این باور است که فقیهان هیچ محدودیتی جهت دست یابی به شهادت قائل نیستند؛ و عملیات انتحاری امروزی نیز به استناد کتب معاصران، برگرفته از گذشته است. در این پژوهش با معرفی شهادت و خودکشی در اسلام و بررسی مستندات کلبرگ، عدم صحت اقوال کلبرگ اثبات می شود.

review of ethan kohlberg's view concerning martyrdom-seeking in islam

the very special place of martyrdom and its seeking in islam has been the cause of researchers’ paying attention to this topic; the topic of martyrdom in islam has also attracted the attention of orientalists. ethan kohlberg is one of the islamists who has focused on martyrdom in his researches. he believes that the concepts of martyr and martyrs existed before islam, and that the martyrdom mentioned in the qur’an is the same fighting in the way of god that was adapted from the religion of christianity. kohlberg, citing the wars of muslims during the lifetime of the prophet mohammad (pbuh) and after his passing away, concludes that martyrdom in islam is different from its quranic concept and is considered a type of suicide. he also believes that the prohibition of suicide is not explicitly stated in the qur’an. by referring to the argumentations of historical traditions, he presents suicide as allowed commandment. in this research after an overview introduction of martyrdom and suicide concepts in islamic verses and traditions, in its content review, expressions and description of citations of this orientalist concerning martyrdom and his point of view about martyrdom-seeking, suicide sentence in islam and the fact that martyrdom-seeking is actually a suicide attempt itself will be analyzed and in accuracy of his point of view will be clearly illustrated.
