   Transmission Properties of One Dimensional Fractal Structures

چکیده    In this paper, the opticalproperties of one dimensional fractal structuresare investigated. we consider six typical fractalphotonic structures: the symmetric dual cantorlikefractal structure, the asymmetric dualcantor-like fractal structure, the single cantorlikefractal structure, the symmetric dualgolden-section fractal structure, the asymmetricdual golden-section fractal structure and thesingle golden-section fractal structure. by usingthe transfer matrix method the transmissionspectra of these structures are simulated. thecalculation results shows that the transmissionspectrum of the symmetric dual cantor-likefractal structure is self-similar and the peaknumbers in the transmission spectra of thesdgsfs also follow the principals of specialfractal structures. it is also shown that in thesymmetric dual golden-section fractal structurethe localization of modes which appears withinthe stop band increases and getting closer to themiddle of the gap by increasing the number ofstring.
