چکیده
|
In this paper we considerelectromagnetic field quantization in thepresence of a dispersive and absorbingsemiconductor quantum dot. by usingmacroscopic approach and green's functionmethod, quantization of electromagnetic field isinvestigated. interaction of a two-level atom ,which is doped in a semiconductor quantumdot, with the quantized field is considered andits spontaneous emission rate is calculated.comparing with the same condition for anexcited atom inside the bulk, it is shown that thespontaneous emission rate of an atom willdecrease.
