چکیده    In this article dispersioncharacteristic of conventional optical waveguidewith helical winding at core – cladding interfacehas been obtained. the model dispersioncharacteristics of optical waveguide with helicalwinding at core-cladding interface have beenobtained for five different pitch angles. thispaper includes dispersion characteristics ofoptical waveguide with helical winding, andcompression of dispersion characteristics ofoptical waveguide with helical winding at corecladdinginterface for five different pitch angles.boundary conditions have been used to obtainthe dispersion characteristics and theseconditions have been utilized to get the modeleigen values equation. from these eigen valueequations dispersion curve are obtained andplotted for modified optical waveguide forparticular values of the pitch angle of thewinding and the result has been compared.
