تحلیل مفهوم عدم اطمینان در پرستاری: رویکرد واکر و آوانت

زمینه و هدف: عدم اطمینان مفهومی مبهم و به عنوان یک واقعیت غیرقابل اجتناب و مانعی برای تصمیم‌گیری مناسب است. از آن جا که حرفه پرستاری با چالش‌های زیادی روبه رو بوده است، نیاز به تصمیم‌گیری صحیح و مناسب پرستاران دارد و اطمینان در تصمیم‌گیری به عنوان عنصری حیاتی در حرفه پرستاری مطرح است. به دلیل ابهامات زیاد در زمینه این مفهوم، مطالعه حاضر با هدف تحلیل مفهوم عدم اطمینان در پرستاری به روش واکر و آوانت انجام گرفته است.روش بررسی: این مطالعه، یک تحلیل مفهوم است که در آن از رویکرد واکر و آوانت برای تحلیل مفهوم عدم اطمینان استفاده شده است. در ابتدا مفهوم عدم اطمینان با استفاده از واژه‌های کلیدی uncertainty ، concept ، nurse و عدم اطمینان، مفهوم و پرستار در پایگاه‌های اطلاعاتی science direct ، scopus ، pubmed ، proquest ، iran med ، medline ، sid انجام یافت؛ سپس مقالات مناسب و مرتبط با موضوع بین سال‌های 1990 تا 2021 بررسی و تعداد 9 مقاله به دست آمد.یافته‌ها: بررسی متون نشان داد، عدم اطمینان یک مفهوم انتزاعی و پیچیده است و مانعی برای اخذ تصمیم‌گیری مناسب. عدم اطمینان در پرستاری با واژه‌هایی چون سردرگمی، شک و تردید، هم ردیف و با واژه‌هایی چون دارا بودن اعتماد به نفس و اطمینان متضاد است. پیشایند عدم اطمینان ناتوانی در تصمیم‌گیری و عدم انجام مسوولیت است و پیامد عدم اطمینان، شناخت نیازهای اطلاعاتی، تلاش برای یافتن پاسخ و در نهایت تصمیم‌گیری مناسب است.نتیجه‌گیری: براساس نتایج مطالعه حاضر، در شرایطی که پرستاران به طور مستقل قادر به تصمیم‌گیری نباشد، عدم اطمینان را تجربه می‌نمایند و از آن جا که عدم اطمینان در تصمیم‌گیری در حرفه پرستاری، بر امر مراقبت از بیماران تاثیرگذار است، مدیران و برنامه‌ریزان می‌توانند با انجام اقداماتی از جمله افزایش دانش و آگاهی، ایجاد انگیزه و ترغیب برای یادگیری در پرستاران، عدم اطمینان در آن‌ها را کاهش داده و موجبات بهبودی و ارتقای سلامتی بیماران را فراهم آورند. 

a concept analysis of uncertainty in nursing: the walker and avant’s approach

background & aim: uncertainty is a multifaceted concept, inherently unavoidable, and can pose a significant obstacle to proper decision-making. in the nursing profession, which is marked by various challenges, nurses are expected to make precise and appropriate decisions. confidence in decision-making is considered a vital element in the nursing profession. given the ambiguities surrounding the concept of uncertainty, we aimed to conduct a concept analysis of uncertainty in nursing using the walker and avant’s approach.methods & materials: this study is a concept analysis using the walker and avant’s approach to analyze the concept of uncertainty. initially, a search was conducted on databases including science direct, sid, medline, iran med, proquest, pubmed, and scopus, using keywords such as uncertainty, nurse, and concept. a comprehensive review of articles published between 1990 and 2021 was then carried out, resulting in a total of 9 relevant articles.results: the literature review showed that uncertainty is an abstract and intricate concept that poses challenges in making informed decisions. in the context of nursing, uncertainty shares similarities with terms like confusion and doubt, while standing in contrast to concepts like self-confidence and assurance. the antecedents of uncertainty include the inability to make decisions and a lack of accountability. the consequence of uncertainty is the recognition of information needs, active pursuit of answers, and ultimately making informed and appropriate decisions.conclusion: the findings of this study indicate that nurses encounter uncertainty when they are unable to make independent decisions. as uncertainty in nursing decision-making directly affects patient care, managers and planners can take proactive measures to mitigate this issue. by promoting knowledge and awareness, fostering motivation, and encouraging continuous learning among nurses, the level of uncertainty can be reduced. this, in turn, will contribute to the improvement and enhancement of patients’ health outcomes.
