Reproduction of Turkish nationalism in the anatolianist rhetoric [Milliyetaçiliǧin Anadolucu Söylemde Yeniden Üretimi]

Anatolianism movement,which emerged as a reaction to the nineteenth century's prevailing ideologies such as ottomanism,islamism,and turkism-turanism,advocated an anatolian geography- and anatolian turkism-centered politics and way of thinking. the anatolianists devoted their most severe criticism to the turkism-turanism movement and its prominent ideologues. they argued that turkism-turanism movement was primarily responsible for the country's bad situation. in this study,the relationship between the anatolianism movement and turkism-turanism movement,which is strongly criticized by the anatolianism movement,will be discussed within the framework of 'reproduction of nationalism'. the study also attempts to put forth how the anatolianists criticized turkism-turanism movement's irredentist policies with reference to 'nation','nationalism','geography' and 'history'. despite the fact that the anatolianism movement has often criticized the premises of turkism-turanism,this study argues that there is a symbiotic relationship between these two movements,which contributes to the reproduction and reconstruction of nationalism.
