The manner of implementation of Britain's colonial administration policy in Cyprus: the Kavanin Assembly (legislative council) [İngiltere'nin sömürge yönetim sistemi'nin Kibris'ta uygulanma biçimi: Kavanin Meclisi (legislative council)]

After the ottoman empire granted control of cyprus to great britain in 1878,the kavanin assembly,which was formed with the 1878 constitution,became a body,which the people of the island,along with the appointed british members,participated in the administration via their elected representative until 1931. although the assembly was as a platform,where the islanders gained the right to be represented and the right to engage in political activity for the british colonial administration,it served as a tool for legitimizing its existence. in this study,the kavanin assembly will be approached as a means employed by the british colonial administration to maintain and legitimize its existence on the island with a colonial mentalit,and a body,where the people of the island exercise their contrasts.
