City's perception of university: the case of Anadolu University and Eskişehir [Kentin Üniversite Algisi: Anadolu Üniversitesi ve Eskişehir Örneǧi]

The effects of the universities on their neighborhood and city have today become a popular topic for discussion and study in both administrative and academic circles. along with the university's inclination towards civic engagement,the city's perception of the university also plays a vital role in the university-city interaction. in this study,the city's perception of university is investigated via the case study of anadolu university and eskişehir. the university's contribution to regional equality of opportunities,the socio-cultural effects of the university students on the city,and the university's sociocultural effects as a whole on the city are examined by quantitative and qualitative research methods.
