Natural Disaster Risk Financing Within the Framework of the Cooperation of Public and Private Sectors

Since natural disasters cause huge economic losses, natural disaster risk fi-nancing requires the cooperation of public and private sectors. with such cooperation, the natural disaster risk could be mitigated, and the economic losses created by the risk could be compensated through financial instruments. the aim of the study is to point to the importance of the cooperation of public and private sectors in financing natural disaster risk, and to examine the natural disaster financing instruments for the case of turkey.
