بررسی کارتل بودن مجمع کشورهای صادرکننده گاز (gecf): رهیافت آزمون کرانه ای خود رگرسیون برداری با وقفه های گسترده و آزمون علیت تودا-یاماموتو

در حال حاضر بازار گاز طبیعی با تغییرات چشمگیری مواجه بوده و در حال جهانی شدن است. یکی از تحولات مهم در بازار جهانی گاز طبیعی در سال های اخیر، تاسیس مجمع کشورهای صادرکننده گاز (gecf) است. از زمان تاسیس این مجمع گمانه زنی های زیادی در مورد اینکه آیا gecf به یک کارتل گازی مانند اوپک تبدیل می شود یا نه، وجود داشته است. کارتل بودن موجب ایجاد هماهنگی رفتار تولیدی بین اعضا و سازمان و تاثیرگذاری تولید سازمان بر قیمت های جهانی با استفاده از قدرت انحصاری خود می شود. بر این اساس هدف این مطالعه حاضر بررسی رابطه بین اعضای gecf به‌عنوان هماهنگی در رفتار و تصمیمات تولیدی و رابطه بین تولید کل مجمع و قیمت گاز طبیعی در بازارهای جهانی به‌عنوان قدرت انحصاری با استفاده از آزمون کرانه ای خود رگرسیون برداری با وقفه های گسترده و آزمون علیت تودایاماموتو است. نتایج مطالعه نشان داد که اولاً هیچ هماهنگی رفتار تولیدی میان اعضا و تولید کل مجمع وجود ندارد و ثانیاً تولید این مجمع تعیین کننده قیمت گاز طبیعی در بازارهای جهانی نیست، بنابراین فرضیه کارتل بودن این مجمع رد می شود.

Investigating Whether the Gas Exporting Countries Forum (GECF) Can be Considered a Cartel: Application of Autoregressive Distributed Lag Bound Test and the Toda-Yamamoto Causality Test

The natural gas market is currently undergoing dramatic changes and is becoming globalized. One of the major developments in the global natural gas market in recent years is the establishment of the Gas Exporting Countries Forum (GECF). Since the founding of this forum, there have been many speculations about whether GECF would become a cartel like OPEC. Cartels contributes to the coordination of productive behavior between members and influence global prices using theirmonopoly power. Accordingly, the purpose of this study was to examine the relationship between the production of Gas Exporting Countries Forum members, coordination of production behavior and decisions, and the relationship between the production of the Gas Exporting Countries Forum and global gas prices, using an Autoregressive Distributed Lag Bound Test and the TodaYamamoto causality test. The results of the study showed that, there is no harmony of productive behavior between members and that GECF does not influence the price of natural gas in global markets.
