مقایسه دانش و عملکرد کاردان‌ها و کارشناسان اتاق عمل درخصوص رعایت تکنیک آسپتیک

زمینه و هدف: یکی از مهمترین عوارض جراحی، عفونت محل عمل (ssi) است. رعایت تکنیک آسپتیک از اقدامات موثر جهت جلوگیری از ssi است که دانش و عملکرد کاردان ها و کارشناسان اتاق عمل، نقش بسزایی در اجرای صحیح آن دارد. هدف مطالعه حاضر، مقایسه دانش و عملکرد کاردان ها و کارشناسان اتاق عمل در خصوص رعایت تکنیک آسپتیک است.روش بررسی: این مطالعه مقایسه ای مقطعی درسال 97-1396 بر روی 235 نفر از کاردان ها و کارشناسان اتاق عمل در هشت بیمارستان آموزشی درمانی شهر اصفهان انجام شد. روش نمونه گیری، طبقه ای تصادفی بود. ابزارهای پژوهش، پرسشنامه محقق ساخته جهت سنجش دانش بود که توسط نمونه ها تکمیل شد و چک لیستی محقق ساخته نیز با مشاهده عملکرد نمونه ها طی سه پروسیجر جراحی توسط پژوهشگر کامل شد. تجزیه و تحلیل داده ها با آمار توصیفی و تحلیلی در نرم افزارspss نسخه 22 انجام شد.یافته ها: نمره دانش کاردان ها و کارشناسان اتاق عمل در سطح خوب و نمره عملکرد آن ها، متوسط بود. میانگین نمره دانش (0.047=p) و عملکرد (0.01=p) کارشناسان به طور معنی داری بیشتر از کاردان ها بود. هم در کاردان ها (0.027=p) و هم در کارشناسان (0.032=p)، بین نمرات دانش و عملکرد رابطه مستقیم وجود داشت.نتیجه گیری کلی: یافته ها نشان داد افزایش دانش کاردان ها و کارشناسان اتاق عمل در خصوص تکنیک آسپتیک می تواند بهبود عملکرد آن ها را به دنبال داشته باشد. لذا امید می رود یافته های این پژوهش، منجر به اعمال نظارت دقیق تر بر عملکرد مراقبین درمانی به منظور همگام کردن دانش و عملکرد آنها با یکدیگر شود.همچنین با توجه به بالاتر بودن نمره دانش و عملکرد کارشناسان اتاق عمل، بهتر است کاردان ها به ادامه تحصیل تشویق شوند. علاوه بر این اجرای برنامه های آموزشی کارآمد، به منظور بهبود عملکرد کارکنان اتاق عمل باید مورد توجه قرار گیرد.

Comparison of the Knowledge and Performance of Surgical Technicians and Technologists Regarding the Observance of the Aseptic Technique

Background Aims: Surgical site infection (SSI) is a common postoperative complication. The observance of the aseptic technique is an effective measure to prevent SSI. The knowledge and performance of surgical technicians and technologists play a pivotal role in the proper implementation of this technique. The present study aimed to compare the knowledge and performance of surgical technicians and technologists regarding the observance of the aseptic technique.Materials Methods: This crosssectional, comparative study was conducted during 20172018 on 235 surgical technicians and technologists in eight teaching hospitals in Isfahan, Iran. The participants were selected via stratified random sampling. Data were collected using a researchermade questionnaire for the measurement of knowledge, which was completed by the participants. In addition, a researchermade checklist was completed by the researcher after observing the performance of the participants in three surgical procedures. Data analysis was performed in SPSS version 22.0 using descriptive and analytical statistics.Results: The mean score of the knowledge of surgical technicians and technologists was favorable, while their mean score of performance was average. The mean score of knowledge (P=0.047) and performance (P=0.01) was significantly higher in the surgical technologists compared to the surgical technicians. Moreover, a direct correlation was observed between the scores of knowledge and performance in both surgical technicians (P=0.027) and surgical technologists (P=0.032).Conclusion: According to the results, improving the knowledge of surgical technicians and technologists regarding the aseptic technique could enhance their performance in this regard. Therefore, the findings of this study could lay the groundwork for the proper supervision of the performance of healthcare providers in order to harmonize their knowledge and performance. Furthermore, considering the higher scores of knowledge in surgical technologists compared to the technicians, it is advisable that the latter be encouraged to continue their education. The implementation of effective training programs should also be considered in order to improve the performance of operating room personnel.
