|
The numbers of patients needing prolonged mechanical ventilation are growing. the rehabilitation programs to be implemented in specialized inpatient facilities are ill defined. there is a clear need to establish guidelines to define the optimal rehabilitation program in this setting. in this article we review the current evidence and propose some guidance. © 2015 sociedade portuguesa de pneumologia. published by elsevier españa,s.l.u. all rights reserved.
