چکیده    Police uniforms made of polyester fibres should present a high level of antimicrobial protection, with respect to the environmental conditions they are worn in. based on this the present research was conducted on polyester fibre woven fabrics, previously treated with zinc oxide with various concentrations for improved antimicrobial properties. the main parameter used to quantify the time stability of the antimicrobial treatment was zeta potential and its variation. the degradation of the antimicrobial treatment during the period of uniform wearing was simulated through repeated washes in the laboratory and its stability was estimated by estimation of the zeta potential. zeta potential values belonging to specimens treated with zinc oxide suspensions with different concentrations, before and after washing decreased with the increase of zinc oxide concentration, but its stability was noticeable.
