Neologism: A Case Study in James Joyce's Ulysses and somePlays by Shokespeore

Neologisms are perhaps the non-literary and the professional translator's biggestproblems (newmark, 1988:140). the present paper tends to investigate thepersian translations of some plays by shakespeore as well as the seventeenthchapter of ulysses by joyce in order to study the nature of neologisms in thesemasterpieces and also to detect the translation methods and procedures applied,so as to examinethe translators visibility and to come up with some notions aboutthe requirements of translating writers whoseworks enjoy a neologistic property. ithas been concluded that the translation methods and procedures applied as wellas translators' intention are some determining factors in the visibility of translatorsand similitude of the target text to the source text.
