مروری جامع بر درماتواپیدمیولوژی

زمینه و هدف: دانش اپیدمیولوژی از این قابلیت بسیار ارزنده برخوردار می‌باشد که می‌تواند روش‌ها و اصول خود را بر اساس مشکلات تحت بررسی، مورد بازبینی و بازنگری قرار دهد. به همین دلیل، این دانش نه فقط برای تمامی مشکلات مربوط به سلامت جامعه که از قدمت طولانی برخوردار می‌باشند، مناسب است، بلکه می‌تواند مشکلات جدید مرتبط با سلامت را نیز در صورت نیاز با ایجاد مختصر تغییری در روش‌های خود، مورد مطالعه قرار دهد. بر این اساس، شاخه‌های مختلف دانش اپیدمیولوژی در طول زمان شکل گرفته و رو به تکامل می‌باشند. برای نمونه، شاخه‌هایی نظیر اپیدمیولوژی بیماری‌های عفونی، اپیدمیولوژی بیماری‌های مزمن، اپیدمیولوژی اجتماعی، اپیدمیولوژی حرفه‌ای و اپیدمیولوژی محیطی، تنها تعداد اندکی از شاخه‌های موجود از دانش اپیدمیولوژی را تشکیل می‌دهند. هدف از نگارش مقاله حاضر، آشنا نمودن خوانندگان فارسی زبان با یکی از شاخه‌های نسبتاً نوین دانش اپیدمیولوژی، یعنی درماتواپیدمیولوژی می‌باشد.
