فرصت‌ها و چالش‌های دانشگاه‌های علوم پزشکی در دست‌یابی به اهداف توسعه پایدار: یک مطالعه کیفی

زمینه و هدف: دستور کار 2030 سازمان ملل، با 17 هدف در هسته اصلی خود، راهنمای مقابله با مهم ترین چالش های جهان است. با توجه به نقش مهم دانشگاه های علوم پزشکی در دست یابی به اهداف توسعه پایدار، این مطالعه با هدف شناسایی فرصت ها و چالش های موجود برای دانشگاه های علوم پزشکی جهت دست یابی به اهداف توسعه پایدار انجام گرفته است. مواد و روش ها: پژوهش کیفی حاضر به‌صورت اکتشافی در سال 1401 در دانشگاه های علوم پزشکی ایران انجام گرفت. مصاحبه های نیمه ساختاریافته هدف مند با 38 نفر از مدیران و کارشناس های شاغل در معاونت های مختلف انجام و تا مرحله اشباع ادامه یافت. تحلیل داده ها به روش تحلیل محتوای قراردادی graneheim و lundman انجام گرفت. یافته ها: تعداد 25 فرصت برای دانشگاه های علوم پزشکی کشور در مسیر دست یابی به اهداف توسعه پایدار در چهار دسته شامل نیروی انسانی، ارائه خدمات، سرمایه گذاری و ارتباطات و هماهنگی شناسایی شد. هم چنین، تعداد 35 چالش در پنج دسته شامل نیروی انسانی، ارائه خدمات، نظارت و کنترل، همکاری و تعاملات و تامین مالی شناسایی شدند.نتیجه گیری: با توجه به نتایج مطالعه حاضر پیشنهاد می گردد سیاست گذاران و مدیران سلامت در جهت دست یابی به اهداف توسعه پایدار استخدام و نگه داری افراد متخصص در حوزه های مختلف، به کارگیری مشوق های کافی و مناسب، سرمایه گذاری کافی در حوزه مراقبت های بهداشتی اولیه (primary health care; phc)، استفاده از سیستم ها و تجهیزات مدرن مخصوصاً در حوزه ثبت داده ها و بهبود روابط بین معاونت ها و دانشگاه های علوم پزشکی با یک‌دیگر و با سایر سازمان ها را در دستور کار خود قرار دهند.

opportunities and challenges of universities of medical sciences in achieving sustainable development goals: a qualitative study

background and objectives: the united nations’ 2030 agenda, consisting of 17 main goals, serves as a roadmap for addressing the most pressing global issues. given the critical role medical sciences universities play in accomplishing sustainable development goals, this study aims to identify the opportunities and challenges that medical sciences universities are facing towards achieving these goals.materials and methods: the current qualitative study was conducted in 2021 at iran’s medical sciences universities in an exploratory approach. up to the saturation point, 38 managers and specialists from various vice departments participated in targeted, semi-structured interviews. the traditional content analysis method developed by graneheim and lundman was used to analyze the data.results: the universities of medical sciences have 25 opportunities to accomplish the goals of sustainable development in four areas: investment, human resources, service provision, and communication and coordination. the 35 challenges are divided into five categories: human resources, service delivery, monitoring and control, cooperation and interactions, and financing.conclusion: according to the results of the current study, investing enough in primary health care (phc), utilizing modern systems and equipment, particularly in data recording, hiring and retaining experts in a variety of fields, using appropriate and sufficient incentives, and fostering relationships between vice-chancelleries and medical sciences universities and other organizations are all recommended to meet the goals of sustainable development. key words: sustainable development goals, universities of medical sciences, qualitative research, opportunities, challengesfunding: this study did not have any funds.conflict of interest: none declared.ethical approval: the national ethics committee of biomedical research approved the study (ir.iums.rec.1399.1438).how to cite this article: aghaei hashjin asgar, farrokhi pouria. opportunities and challenges of universities of medical sciences in achieving sustainable development goals: a qualitative study. j rafsanjan univ med sci 2024; 22 (12): 1237-58.
