همبستگی شاخص نیاز به درمان ناهنجاریهای فکی دندانی (Icon) با کیفیت زندگی مرتبط با ارتودنسی در دانشآموزان پسر شهر رفسنجان در سال 1395: یک مطالعه توصیفی

زمینه و هدف: یکی از جنبه های کیفیت زندگی، ارتباط آن با ارتقاء سلامت است. بررسی نیاز به درمان ارتودنسی به صورت کمی دارای اهمیت ویژه بوده و شاخص icon ((index of complexity, outcome, & need یکی از شاخص ها جهت ارزیابی این مورد است. لذا هدف از انجام این مطالعه تعیین رابطه بین شاخص نیاز به درمان ناهنجاری های فکی دندانی (icon) با کیفیت زندگی مرتبط با ارتودنسی در دانش آموزان پسر 16 تا 18 ساله در شهر رفسنجان بود.مواد و روش ها: این مطالعه توصیفی بر روی 1077 دانش آموز که در سال 1395 به روش نمونه‌گیری تصادفی چند مرحله‌ای از مدارس شهر رفسنجان انتخاب شدند، انجام شد. به منظور ارزیابی کیفیت زندگی دانش آموزان از پرسش نامه کیفیت زندگی مرتبط با ارتودنسی (orthognathic quality of life; oqol) استفاده شد و تمام دانش آموزان بر اساس اجزاء ایندکس نیاز به درمان ارتودنسی icon، معاینه شده و نتایج در فرم icon ثبت گردید. داده ها توسط ضریب همبستگی پیرسون مورد تجزیه و تحلیل قرار گرفتند. یافته ها: در مطالعه حاضر میانگین و انحراف معیار نمره کیفیت زندگی 10.91±25.58 و میانگین و انحراف معیار نمره icon برابر با 13.55±32.34 بود و این دو متغیر دارای همبستگی معکوس معنی‌دار بودند (0.001, p<0.24r=). نتیجه گیری: نتایج مطالعه حاضر نشان داد که جنبه های مختلف کیفیت زندگی می تواند بر تمایل به انجام درمان ناهنجاری‌های فکی صورتی و ارتودنسی بین نوجوانان تاثیر گذارد و درمان ارتودنسی تاثیر به سزایی بر افزایش اعتماد به نفس و در نتیجه افزایش کیفیت زندگی نوجوان دارد.

Correlation of the Index of Orthodontic Treatment Need (ICON) and Orthodontic-Related Quality of Life in Male Students in Rafsanjan City in 2016: A Descriptive Study

Background and Objectives: One aspect of quality of life is its association with health promotion. Evaluation of the need for orthodontic treatment is of particular importance and ICON (Index of Complexity, Outcome and Need) is one of the indicators to evaluate this case. Therefore, the aim of this study was to investigate the corelation between the orthodontic treatment need and orthodonticrelated of quality of life among male students aged 1618 years in Rafsanjan city.Materials and Methods: This descriptive study was performed on 1077 students selected by multistage random sampling from Rafsanjan schools in 2016. The Orthognathic Quality of Life (OQOL) questionnaire was used to assess the quality of life of students. All students examined based on ICON elements and the results were registered on ICON form.
