مروری روایی بر اپیدمیولوژی فرهنگی

زمینه و هدف: فرهنگ را می‌توان مجموعه «نظام‌های اعتقادی» و «الگوهای رفتاری» در نظر گرفت که معمولاً در سطح محلی تعریف شده‌اند. شاخه اپیدمیولوژی فرهنگی، زمانی مصداق پیدا می‌کند که اپیدمیولوژیست‌ها، از روش‌های این دانش برای بررسی تاثیرات فرهنگی بر روی سلامت انسان در سطح جمعیت‌ها، استفاده می‌نمایند. خوشبختانه در طول چند سال گذشته و به منظور دستیابی به اهداف شاخه اپیدمیولوژی فرهنگی، درک متقابلی مابین انسان‌شناسان و متخصصان اپیدمیولوژی در حال شکل گیری است که براساس آن، همکاری‌های بین رشته‌ای در حال گسترش است. از همین رو، نظر به اهمیت این شاخه از دانش اپیدمیولوژی در سلامت جوامع انسانی و با توجه به فقدان یک منبع مناسب فارسی در این زمینه، هدف از نگارش مقاله مروری حاضر، معرفی شاخه اپیدمیولوژی فرهنگی برای خوانندگان فارسی زبان است.

A Narrative Review on Cultural Epidemiology

Culture can be thought of as a set of belief systems and patterns of behavior that are usually defined locally. The branch of cultural epidemiology occurs when epidemiologists use the methods of this knowledge to study the cultural effects on human health at the population level. Fortunately, over the past few years, in order to achieve the goals of the cultural epidemiology, a mutual understanding has been formed between anthropologists and epidemiologists, according to which, interdisciplinary collaborations are expanding. Therefore, considering the importance of this branch of epidemiology in the health of human societies and due to the lack of a suitable Persian source in this field, the purpose of writing this review article is to introduce the branch of cultural epidemiology for Persian readers.Key words: Epidemiology, Culture, Community, Cultural epidemiology, Social epidemiology Funding: None declared.Conflict of interest: None declared.Ehtical approval: None declared.
