پرومد: منبعی از داده‌های اپیدمیولوژیک

رصد جغرافیای سلامت جهانی در زمان شیوع بیماریهای نوظهور و مسری می‌تواند اطلاعات ارزش‌مندی در مورد مرگ و میر، پیامدها و عوارض ناشی از بیماری‌های نوظهور را برای اپیدمیولوژیست‌ها فراهم کند. این امر مستلزم آشنایی با منابع اطلاعاتی است که به طور رایگان داده‌های مربوط به این بیماری‌ها را در دسترس قرار می‌دهد. promed یک سیستم گزارش‌دهی فوری از شیوع بیماری‌ها است و می‌تواند داده‌های رایگان را در ابعاد جهانی در اختیار اپیدمیولوژیست‌ها قرار دهد. این منبع اطلاعاتی که مبنای مطالعات بسیاری از پژوهش‌گران در سطح جهان بوده است، به دلیل عدم آشنایی پژوهش‌گران ایرانی با آن، تاکنون در ایران بدون استفاده مانده است.

ProMED: A Source of Epidemiological Data

Global health geographic observation can provide valuable information regarding mortality rate, consequences and complications of new diseases for the epidemiologists while emerging epidemic diseases. This observation requires information resources which makes the information regarding the diseases accessible at no cost.ProMED is an immediate reporting system for diseases outbreak and it can provide the information at no cost for epidemiologists at global dimensions.
