بخشش خطاهای اخلاقی در قرآن کریم و تبیین های تکاملی آنها

انسان‌ها نسبت به انسان‌های دیگر انواع خطاهای اخلاقی انجام می‌دهند. یکی از واکنش‌های اخلاقی نسبت به این خطاها بخشش آن‌هاست. قرآن کریم توصیه نموده که برخی خطاها بخشیده شوند و برخی نشوند. نظریۀ تکامل به ویژه با انتخاب طبیعی تبیین‌هایی برای آن توصیه‌ها ارائه می‌کند. انتخاب طبیعی در سطوح مختلف عمل می‌کند. دو سطح مهم فرد و گروه است. بخشش به حفظ روابط ارزشمند زیستی با نزدیکان کمک می‌کند. بنابراین انتخاب فرد چنین بخشنده‌هایی را بر انتقام‌گیرندگان ترجیح می‌دهد. بخشش در آیات قرآن کریم فراتر از جبران است. تحقیقات در نظریۀ بازی هم نشان می‌دهد که چنین است، ولی در نهایت جبران را تقویت می‌کند. انتخاب گروه بین بخشش درونی‌ها و بیرونی‌ها، و بین درونی‌های رعایت‌کننده اخلاقیات گروهی و رعایت‌نکننده،‌ و بین بیرونی‌های قابل درونی شدن و ناقابل تفکیک می‌نهد. توصیه‌های بخشش دشمن و خوبی کردن در برابر بدی او، یا نبخشیدن او را در قرآن کریم با این تفکیک‌ها بهتر می‌توان فهمید. انتخاب گروه فرهنگی هم گسترش توصیه‌های اخلاقی قرآن کریم دربارۀ بخشش را تبیین می‌کند.

forgiving moral wrongs in the noble quran and their evolutionary explanations

human beings morally wrong each other. forgiving is one moral reaction to those wrongs. the noble quran prescribes that some wrongs be forgiven and some don’t. these prescriptions can be explained by evolutionary theory especially by natural selection. natural selection can act at different levels especially at individual level and group level. forgiveness preserves biologically valuable relations with relatives, friends and so on. therefore, individual selection favors such forgivers to those who seek revenge. forgiveness in the noble quran is over and above reciprocation. research in game theory shows that it is, but in the long run promotes reciprocation. group selection distinguishes between forgiving in-groups and out-groups, and between those in-groups that act according to group morality and those that don’t, and between those out-groups that could become in-groups and those that could not. the noble quran’s prescriptions about forgiving enemies and doing good deeds in response to their evil deeds, or not forgiving are best understood by these distinctions. the noble quran’s prescriptions about forgiveness have been selected by cultural group selection.
