آیا تلفظ مصوّت ‌های زبان فارسی در دوران معاصر تغییر کرده است؟

مبنای وزن عروضی شعر رسمی فارسی تمایز هجاهای کوتاه و بلند است. تعداد و ترتیب هجاهای کوتاه و بلند در همه مصراع های یک شعر باید یکسان باشد. کوتاهی و بلندی هجاها خود ناشی از کوتاهی و بلندی مصوّت هاست. مصوّت های بلند سه تا هستند: «ا» (â)، «و» (u) و «ی» (i) و مصوّت های کوتاه نیز سه تا هستند: «َ» (a)، «ُ» (o) و «ِ» (e). امتداد هر مصوّت بلند قاعدتاً باید دو برابر قرینه کوتاه آن باشد، امّا در زبان محاوره امروز مصوّت بلند می تواند کوتاه تلفّظ شود و مصوّت کوتاه، بلند تلفّظ شود بدون اینکه هر مصوّت با قرینه خود اشتباه شود؛ زیرا امروز مصوّت ها علاوه بر تفاوت امتداد از لحاظ واجگاه نیز با هم متفاوتند. در نتیجه، امروز وزن عروضی رسمی با زبان فارسی ناسازگار و بیگانه به نظر می رسد و این سوال مطرح است که این ناسازگاری از آغاز شعر عروضی رسمی فارسی وجود داشته است یا بعدها در اثر تحوّلات دستگاه صوتی زبان فارسی به وجود آمده است؟ بعضی از پژوهشگران این عرصه به شق دوم معتقدند و نتایج مهمّ و وسیعی از این باور خود به دست می آورند که اکثراً نادرست به نظر می رسد. در مقاله حاضر این مسئله به روش تحلیلی - توصیفی مورد بررسی قرار گرفته و دلایلی در رد نظر این گروه از پژوهشگران عرضه شده است.

language is composed of sounds. physically, a sound has four characteristics, including length, intensity, pitch and resonance. in every natural language, as it is common among different nations and ethnicgroups, one of these sound features plays an essential role while each of theother features has an important role in the language. for example, if lengthor quantity plays an essential role in the pronunciation of a language, themeter of poems will be quantitative, and, if stress or the intensity of thesound plays a more important role in the pronunciation of a language, themeter of poems will be accented or percussive. there are similar casesabout pitch and resonance characteristics.therefore, choosing the meter of a poem in a language is not an optionalmatter, and not every type of meter can be used in poetry. if the selectedmeter of a poem is not based on the basic sound characteristics of thatlanguage, the native speakers of the language cannot understand its rhythm.therefore, if a type of meter based on the sound characteristics of alanguage becomes popular in that language, it cannot be easily changed and converted into another type of meter unless the sound characteristics of the language are changed over many years and successive centuries.
