تاملی بر دیدگاه های زینر در کتاب عرفان هندو و اسلامی

روبرت چارلز زینر ازجمله مستشرقانی است که تصوف را انحراف ازراست کیشی اسلامی و برآمده از اندیشه ها و مکاتب بیگانه دانسته است. ازنظر او عامل اصلی این انحراف، ابویزید بسطامی است که اندیشه های وحدت وجودی مکتب ودانته ی هندو را که از استاد هندی خود فراگرفته بود ، در اسلام رواج داد.کتاب عرفان هندو و اسلامی زینر تلاشی در جهت اثبات مدعیات اوست. او در کتاب خود، با تفکیک ادیان به توحیدی و عرفانی، مسیر پیشرفت اسلام را برخلاف هندوئیسم، از توحید و عرفان عاشقانه به جانب اندیشۀ وحدت وجود می داند و برای اثبات این مدعا به واژه ها و تعابیری که به نحو مشابه در مکتب ودانته و شطحیات ابویزید وجود دارد استناد می کند. مقاله ی حاضر با روش توصیفی و تحلیلی و با هدف اعتبارسنجی نظریه های زینر به نقد و بررسی آنها پرداخته است.نتایج حاصل این است که در اثر زینر، منابع اصلی و معتبر به طور جامع بررسی نشده اند و صرفاً به برخی از منابع مشخص در هر دو سنت رجوع شده است.همچنین اثر او از فقدان ژرف اندیشی و بی توجهی به عمق مفاهیم و اصطلاحات کاربردی رنج می برد و نهایتاً استنتاج های نویسنده بر مبنای پاره ای شباهت های صوری در اقوال است، بی آنکه مسیر اقتباس دقیق و درست ، طی شده باشد.

a reflection on zaener's views in the book of hindu and islamic mysticism

robert charles zaehner is one of the orientalists who considered sufism as a deviation from islamic orthodoxy and originated from foreign ideas and schools. according to him, the main cause of deviation was abu yazid al-bastami, who spread the pantheistic ideas of hindu vedanta in islam, which he learned them from his indian teacher. zaehner’s work “hindu and islamic mysticism” is an attempt to prove this claim. the classification of religions into monotheistic and mystical, to consider the process of development of islam from monotheism and lovely mysticism towards pantheism opposite to hinduism, referring to similar words and interpretations in the school of vedanta and ecstatic utterances of abu-yazid are among his claims in support of his opinion. the present article criticizes and examines zaehner's theories by descriptive and analytical method with the aim of valuating them. the results of the survey of his work suggest that he did not study comprehensively the main and authoritative sources in both traditions, contented with some specific sources in both traditions, lack of pondering over and paying attention to the depth of concepts and applied terms and inference based on some formal similarities in sayings, without the path of adapting being drawn accurately.
