مقایسه‌ کیفیت زندگی مرتبط با سلامت دهان در بیماران بی‌دندانی فک پایین دارای دندان مصنوعی کامل معمولی و دندان مصنوعی متکی بر ایمپلنت مراجعه‌کننده به مطبی خصوصی در شهر ساری

سابقه و هدف: بی‌دندانی نقصی در سیستم دندانی است که تاثیری جدی بر کیفیت زندگی دارد. این مطالعه با هدف مقایسه‌ کیفیت زندگی وابسته به سلامت دهان (ohrqol) بین بیماران بی‌دندانی فک پایین دارای دندان مصنوعی معمولی (ccd) و دندان مصنوعی متکی بر ایمپلنت (iod) انجام شد. مواد و روش‌ها: در این مطالعه کوهورت گذشته‌نگر، 88 بیمار با بی‌دندانی فک پایین در دو گروه ccd و iod انتخاب شدند. پس از ثبت اطلاعات دموگرافیک، پرسش‌نامه‌ی ohrqol (14-ohip) را تمام بیماران تکمیل کردند. داده‌های کمی با میانگین (انحراف معیار) و داده‌های کیفی با تعداد (درصد) توصیف شدند. تحلیل داده‌ها با نرم‌افزار آماری spss21 انجام شد. سطح معنی‌داری 0/05 در نظر گرفته شد. یافته‌ها: از 88 بیمار شرکت‌کننده در این مطالعه، 39 نفر مرد و 49 نفر زن بودند. یافته‌ها نشان داد که میانگین نمره‌ی ohrqol ارتباط معناداری با سن و جنسیت بیماران نداشت (0/05

comparison of oral health related quality of life in mandibular edentulous patients with conventional complete dentures and implant-supported overdentures referring to a private practice in sari

background and purpose: edentulism is a dental system defect that has a serious impact on quality of life. this study aimed to compare oral health-related quality of life (ohrqol) between mandibular edentulous patients with conventional dentures (ccd) and implant-supported overdentures (iod). materials and methods: in this retrospective cohort study, 88 mandibular edentulous patients were selected in two groups of ccd and iod. after registering the demographic information, the ohrqol questionnaire (ohip-14) was completed by each patient. quantitative data were described with mean (standard deviation) and qualitative with number (percentage). data analysis was done with spss21 statistical software. a significance level of 0.05 was considered. results: out of 88 patients participating in this study, 39 were men and 49 were women. the findings showed that the mean ohrqol score had no significant relationship with age and gender of the patients (p>0.05). the total score of ohrqol in the ccd group was significantly higher than the iod group (12.36 ± 8.14 vs. 8.82 ± 6.08; p=0.02). conclusion: according to the results of the study, gender and age did not have much effect on the ohrqol. the ohrqol of people who used iod was better than those who used ccd.
