مروری بر برخی از چالش های تولید و مصرف محصولات تراریخته

تولید و مصرف محصولات اصلاح شده ژنتیکی از منظر تاثیرات زیست محیطی، بهداشتی و اخلاقی، بسیار بحث برانگیز بوده‌اند. بیش‌تر این مناقشات به دلایلی از قبیل عدم اعتماد به مقامات نظارتی، دانشمندان و تصمیم‌گیری‌های فن سالارانه بوده است. در میان تمامی این نگرانی‌ها، مسائل حوزه سلامت و بهداشت، آلرژی زایی و مقاومت به آنتی‌بیوتیک‌ها اهمیت بیش‌تری داشته‌اند. از آن‌جا که بسیاری از مشکلات توسعه جامعه امروزی، از سلامت عمومی گرفته تا کمبود انرژی، آب و همچنین مشکلات اقتصادی، با نظام تغذیه مرتبط می‌باشند، این مقاله، ضمن پرداختن به موضوعات قابل بحث در مقوله تراریخته، به ارائه راهکارهای مفید در استفاده صحیح از این فناوری و اصلاح نگرش مردم بر تاثیرات زیست فناوری در مواد غذایی و کشاورزی و برنامه‌های کاربردی حال و آینده می‌پردازد. در این مطالعه مروری، کلیدواژه‌های genetically modified plants، gmos safety و health risks در پایگاه‌های اطلاعاتی google scholar، pubmed، scopus، science direct sid و civilica مورد جست‌وجو قرارگرفت و اطلاعاتی شامل تعریف زیست فناوری، محصولات تراریخته، روش‌های تکنیکی برای بررسی این محصولات، سازمان‌های درگیر، منافع و معایب مصرف این محصولات، گردآوری شد. با تصویب قوانین خاص در زمینه فعالیت‌های حوزه زیست فناوری ضمن رعایت اصول ایمنی و حفاظتی پروتکل ایمنی زیستی و همچنین ایجاد سیستم ارزیابی و انتشار مداوم اطلاعات و ارتقا دانش در سطح عمومی درباره محصولات تراریخته، امکان استفاده ایمن از این فناوری فراهم خواهد شد.

An Overview of Challenges in Producing and Consuming Transgenic Products

The production and consumption of genetically modified (GM) products are highly controversial due to their environmental, health, and ethical impacts. Most of these disputes are caused by distrust of regulatory authorities, scientists, and technocratic decisions. Among all these concerns, health issues, allergenicity and antibiotic resistance are more important. Many of today #39;s social development problems, including public health, energy, water scarcity, and economic problems are associated with the nutrition system. So, this article provides useful solutions for appropriate utilization of GM products at present and future and aims to improve the people #39;s attitudes towards the impacts of biotechnology on food and agriculture. The current study was carried out in electronic databases, including Google Scholar, Pubmed, Scopus, Science direct, SID and Civilica using the following keywords: Genetically modified plants, GMOs safety, and Health risks. Information about biotechnology, transgenic products, technical methods for the assessment of these products, the organizations involved, and the benefits and disadvantages of GM products were recorded. Safe use of GM products could be achieved by approving specific rules in biotechnology, while respecting the safety principles, continuous evaluation and dissemination of information, and upgrading the public knowledge about these products.
