هدیه دادن و رسوم آن نزد ایرانیان با تکیه بر شاهنامه و تاریخ بیهقی

تاریخ ایران باستان سرشار از رسومی است که در گذر تاریخ به فراموشی سپرده یا به نوعی دچار تغییراتی شده است. در فرهنگ ایرانی، هدیه دادن و هدیه گرفتن اهمیت زیادی دارد و تاکنون نیز این رسم با وجود تغییراتی، ادامه یافته است. تاریخ بیهقی به عنوان کتابی که اوضاع دربار ایران را روایت می کند و شاهنامه که روایت‌گر تاریخ ملی ایران است، منابعی هستند که می توان بسیاری از رسوم گذشته ایران را در آن جست وجو کرد. رسم هدیه دادن که در ایران به دلایل مختلفی از جمله مسایل سیاسی و اقتصادی انجام می شده است، پس از اسلام نیز مورد حمایت خلفا قرار گرفت و تثبیت شد و ادامه یافت. از این رو، در دربار غزنویان نیز به شکل های مختلفی شاهد اهدای هدایای ذی قیمت در مناسبت‌های مختلفی هستیم. در این پژوهش رسم هدیه دادن در دو کتاب تاریخ بیهقی و شاهنامه فردوسی مورد بررسی قرار گرفته و مواردی چون: انواع هدیه، مناسبت هدیه دادن و اقلام هدیه مشخص شده است. براساس یافته های پژوهش در تاریخ بیهقی، هدیه دادن بیشتر جنبۀ تشریفاتی و سیاسی دارد و در شاهنامه دلایل حماسی است که بیشتر جلب نظر می کند. در هر دو کتاب، خلعت دادن بیشترین بسامد را دارد، اما توصیف جزئیات هدایا و ذکر اقلام آن در تاریخ بیهقی بیشتر جلوه می‌کند و در شاهنامه کلی‌تر است.

The Custom of GiftGiving in Iran with Reference to Shahnameh and Bayhaqi History

The history of the ancient Persia is fraught with customs that have either fallen in oblivion or undergone changes. One of those customs which has changed but remained cherished is that of giving and taking gifts. Bayhaqi History, as a source that narrates the circumstances in the royal court of Persia, and Shahnameh, as a book which shows part of the national history of Iran, are sources in which the ancient customs of Iran can be sought. Gifting used to be done on political or economic grounds, but it was favored, corroborated and continued by caliphs and rulers after the emergence of Islam in the country. For instance, precious gifts are said to be given on different occasions in the Ghaznavid court. This study aims at examining the gifting custom as recorded in the two books of Shahnameh and Bayhaqi History. The investigated issues include the types of gifts, the occasions of giving gifts and the gifted items. The results show that according to Shahnameh, gifts were given on epic grounds, while Bayhaqi History refers to official and political motives in this regard. In both books, gifting is of a high frequency. However, they differ in terms of precision; while Bayhaqi discusses the gifts in detail, Shahnameh reports them in general.
