ارزیابی جایگاه علمی - پژوهشی دانشکده علوم جغرافیایی دانشگاه خوارزمی در بین دانشگاه‌های ایران

هر سازمان و نهاد علمی به منظور آگاهی از میزان مطلوبیت و کیفیت فعالیت های خود بالاخص در محیط های پویا، نیاز مبرم به نظام ارزشیابی دارد. فقدان این نظام در یک سازمان به معنای ضعف با محیط درونی و بیرونی بوده، زمینه ساز افزایش آسیب‌پذیری می شود. استقرار نظام ارزشیابی در دانشگاه با هدف پایش و تحلیل کارایی، اثربخشی و پایداری در راستای اهداف توسعه علمی است. در این چارچوب، تعیین سطح و جایگاه علمی مراکز دانشگاهی، کمک شایانی در تحقق اهداف بیان شده دارد. این اقدام سبب ارتقای جایگاه دانشگاه و به تبع دانشکده ها و گروه های آموزشی و پژوهشی می‌شود. پژوهش حاضر با اعتقاد به این موضوع، شناخت جایگاه علمی دانشکده علوم جغرافیایی را در بین دانشگاههای کشوربر اساس منابع در دسترس هدف اصلی خود قرار داده است. روش پژوهش، از نوع ترکیبی متوالی است. یعنی در ابتدا شاخص‌های پژوهشی که قابل دسترس هستند با اتکا به وبگاه‌های علمی تولید داده مانند: web of science، scopus، isc و سایر وبگاه‌ها جمع آوری گردیدند، پس از پردازش کمی داده‌ها، جایگاه دانشکده علوم جغرافیایی دانشگاه خوارزمی در مقایسه با سایر مراکز علمی جغرافیایی (دارای ملاک های مشابه) بدست آمد. در این پژوهش متمایز با سایر پژوهشهای مشابه فقط به «تعیین سطح» بسنده نشد و با روش کیفی مبتنی بر رویکرد تحلیل محتوا ، نقاط قوت، ضعف، فرصتها و تهدیدها کشف و تفهم گردید. بنابراین دانشکده علوم جغرافیایی دانشگاه خوارزمی مبتنی بر شاخص های منتخب در سطح متوسط قرار دارد. ضعف در سرانه و ارجاع به مقالات لاتین در بین شاخصها دارای اهمیت بالایی است. همچنین، ضعف برخورداری از زیرساختها و تشکیلات اداری بخش پژوهش و فناوری، کاهش انگیزه برخی از اعضای هیات علمی متاثر از وضعیت نظام حقوق به کاهش روحیه مشارکت در بین اساتید با ارکان اجرایی دانشکده مهمترین عوامل بازدارنده بر ارتقای دانشکده علوم جغرافیایی دانشگاه خوارزمی در بین دانشکده های جغرافیایی منتخب هستند.

assessment of the research standing of the faculty of geography at kharazmi university among universities in iran

every organization and scientific institution urgently need an evaluation system to understand the desirability and quality of its activities, especially in dynamic environments. the lack of such a system signifies a weakness in the organization’s communication with its internal and external environments, increasing vulnerability. establishing anevaluation system in universities is crucial for monitoring and analyzing the efficiency, effectiveness, relevance, and sustainability of their components in line with scientific development goals. in this context,assessing the academic status and position of university centers significantly aids in achieving these stated goals. identifying negative feedback and adjusting processes in this regard enhances the university'sstanding, which in turn benefits its faculties and educational and research departments. this research is based on the belief of recognizing the academic position of the faculty of geography at kharazmi university among national universities, using available resources as its main goal.the research method is a sequential mixed approach. initially, accessibleresearch indicators were gathered based on data-producing scientific websites like web of science, scopus, isc, and others. after quantitatively processing the data, the position of the faculty of geography at kharazmi university was compared with other geographical scientific centers with similar criteria. unlike other similar studies, this research did not limit itself to just “determining the level.” instead, through a qualitative method based on content analysis, strengths,weaknesses, opportunities, and threats were explored and understood. the findings indicated that the faculty of geography at kharazmi university is at an average level based on the selected indicators. weakness in the per capita publication of english articles and the per capita citation of english articles are significantly important regarding the faculty's status.moreover, the understanding from participants’ perspectives revealed that deficiencies in hard and soft infrastructure, weaknesses in the administrative structure of the research and technology sector, reduced motivation among some faculty members due to the compensation system's status, and low collaboration spirit among faculty and the faculty's executive elements are the main hindering factors for theadvancement of the faculty of geography at kharazmi university among selected geography faculties.
